c) For Students from other
states
The students who have passed the qualifying
examinations from other states under CBSE syllabus can join
directly. Others should produce Equivalent Certificate from the
State Board concerned.
d) NRI (Non-Resident Indians)
Quota
Admission under NRI category is done by the
institution for candidates satisfying the conditions stipulated by
the Anna University. The candidates should produce Provisional
Eligibility Certificate from the Anna University.

LATERAL ENTRY SCHEME (ADMISSION INTO II YEAR
OF B.E. / B.Tech DEGREE COURSE):

a) Minimum Qualifications:
1. A
pass with minimum eligible marks in the Diploma Course of the State
Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamilnadu / equivalent
course prescribed for the Degree course (or)
2. Any other
equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical
Education / Higher Secondary Board of Tamilnadu. Candidates
belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the
qualifying examination is not more than two
appearances.

For the purpose of calculation of marks in respect of sandwich
diploma passed candidates marks secured in the last two semesters
shall be considered. If the Industrial training intervenes in any
one of the last two semesters, then the marks of the previous
semester in which there is no industrial training shall be
considered for the purpose of calculating the marks.

c) NRI Quota
Admission under NRI
category is done by the institution for candidates satisfying the
conditions stipulated by the Anna University. The candidates should
produce Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the Anna
University.
