Technical Association of CSE department organized the Engineer`s Day Celebration on 19.9.2011 at Auditorium Hall conducted by TA Coordinators, A.Rabiyathul Basariya, K.Mohanappriya, K.Sathyabhama. Chief Guest is Mr. S.Palani Dean PG Studies In that session, Students were gathered as a team and each team presented Papers in the following disciplines "Network Security, Data Mining, Cloud Computing, Grid Computing". The Department of CSE conducted a two days national level seminar on `Theory of Computation` from 19.08.2011 to 20.08.2011. Shri.V.K. Sundaram, Chairman presided over the seminar. Felicitation address were given by Mr.Vijay K. Sundaram, Vice chairman, Dr. M. Radhakrishnan, Principal, Dr. S. Palani, Dean PG studies of Sudharsan Engineering College.
Dr. V. RadhaKrishnan, Professor & Dean(Academic), Mookambigai College of Engineering, the Speaker for session-1, gave a talk on `Finite Automata & Elements of Finite Automata`. The Speaker for session-2, Prof.C. Callins Christiyana, Associaite Professor, Sethu Institute of Technology presented on the topic `Regular Expressions and pumping Lemma`.
Prof.M. Anand, Assistant Professor(senior), VIT University, Vellore, Speaker for session-3 delivered his presentation on the topic `Context Free Grammar & Push down Automata`. The Speaker for session-4, Dr.P.L.K. Priyadharshini, Assistant Professor, gave a presentation on `Turing machines and its applications1. Certificates were issued by Dr.S. Palani, Dean / PG studies and Prof.P.Parvath , HoD/CSE to the participate. The seminar closed with the national anthem.

Former Vice Chancellor Dr V.Ramachandran has visited the department and interacted with faculty and students in separate sessions. His lectures to the students of IV and III year were highly inspiring. He gave valuable tips for research to faculty members during a separate discussion.

The Department of CSE conducted National Level Technical Symposium for students on 15/02/2011, named as Technofeast`11. A talk on CLOUD COMPUTING was delivered by the chief guest Mr. A. Ramshankar, Application Developer, Oracle Technologies Pvt LTD, Bangalore. About 60 students from other colleges had participated in Paper Presentation, Quiz, Debugging and Gaming events. The First Prize was won by Kumaraswamy College of Engineering, Coimbatore. The Second Prize was won by P.S.N.A. College of Engineering, Dindugal.
