The English club of Sudharsan Engineering College conducted a One day Inter Collegiate workshop on 11-2-2011 titled SOSTACE`11 with its central focal point on developing Corporate Skills. Eleven colleges turned up for the programme.
The day bloomed with three efficient resource personalities Dr. A. Mohamed Mustafa., A.P., English. Jamal Mohamed College Trichy, Dr.S.P.Benjamin Elango, HoD/English., St.Joseph College, Trichy and S.Murugavel, HOD/ English, Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology Karur. The programme was split into three as Social skills, Work place Ethics, Soft skills.
Each session was informative and focused on the prime skills which are the need of the hour. Under social skills the major concepts which came to the limelight are Non-Verbal Communication, Inter-personal relationship and personality development. Session 2 centered on the Workplace Ethics. The demands of Corporate Sectors were highlighted as Punctuality, Realizing responsibility, Working along with Co-workers and striving for the growth of the firm. The final session furnished a practical orientation for the students with the Mock-Interview and Group discussion.
