Located on a busy highway the campus is connected by frequent shuttle bus services (No.12) between Pudukkottai and Keeranur and by numerous other buses plying on this road towards Trichy. The bus stop is supported by a motley cluster of shops and caterers.
Pudukkottai is a historical town and is now the headquarters of Pudukkottai District. The town still retains the regal looks of the erstwhile kingdom of Mannar Marthandan who reigned till 1947. The town is about 2 hours drive from Madurai, one hour from Thanjavur, and 40 minutes from Karaikudi. The palaces, temples, caves, and granite quarries in and around the town are increasing its prominence among places of historicity and commerce.
