Maths club was started in 2009 and has been progressing very well as an intellectual stimulator to the students of Sudharsan Engineering College. The club conducts events like quiz competitions, paper presentations and inspiring lectures by wizards of Mathematics. Students are encouraged to participate in inter-collegiate mathematical quiz contests and are given special coaching for such events. Thus, Maths club has been contributing to demystifying and popularizing Mathematics among the Sudharsan Engineering College students.

As a part of Decennary celebration of Sudharsan Engineering College, the Department of Mathematics conducted the Inter School Competition(SUDAR`11) on 29/01/2011.More than 100 school students participated in Puzzles, Amend and Model making. Dr.M.Radhakrishnan, Principal inaugurated, Mrs.P.Jayagowri, Head, Department of Maths, SudharsanEngineeringCollege offered felicitation of the Inaugural function. In the evening Mr. S. Rajagopalan, AO, Sudharsan Engineering College, and Chief Guest Prof.V.Murugan, Department of Mathematics, H H.The Rajah`s College, Pudukkottai delivered the valedictory address and distributed the prizes for the winners.
