A Guest lecture on Research Issues on Cloud Computing was organized by the Department of MCA on 28-09-2011. Prof.V.Jayalakshmi welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Radhakrishanan, Principal, SEC delivered the presidential address and in his speech he insisted that the students should update their knowledge and develop their skills to cope with the diverse and ever changing field of computer science.
The chief guest Dr.N.Balaji, HoD/InformatioTechnology, Thiyagraja College of Engineering, Madurai was introduced by Prof.B.SenthilRajaManokar, HoD/MCA. In his lecture he stated that Cloud Technologies and Models have not yet reached their full potential. So research can be done on Cloud Computing. The session came to a close with the vote of thanks by Prof. G. Dineshkumar.

We attended a one day industrial training on 4-11-2011 at NETLAB ACADEMY, CHENNAI on the Topic `Configuring the Corporate Network`. In this training program the following syllabus were covered by the expert Mr. A.K.Asokan, Netlab Academy, Chennai. • Networking • Virtualization • OSI Layer • IP Address • DHCP • DNS The whole session was very useful and interactive. Experts gave practical training on all the above mentioned Topics. It was one of the best opportunities to know network concept and it also gave awareness on the working of network in Corporate Industries.

Dr. M. Radhakrishnan, Principal, gave the inaugural address. He narrated the History of Evolution of the MCA course and also emphasized on the importance of developing Technical Skills apart from our academic activities.
Dr. M. Prabhakar, Dean (Acadamic) delivered the Special address. He insisted on the importance of Technical Association .Further he exhorted the students to utilize the association efficiently to improve Technical skill.

Radhakrishnan, Principal, SudharsanEngineeringCollege gave the inaugural address. Dr. E. Kirubakaran, Sr.Deputy General Manager, Outsourcing Department, BHEL, Trichy, delivered the Chief Guest address. He proudly pointed to the gathering that 30 of the employees in all MNCs are Indians.
