RIBBON CLUB
Red Ribbon Club is a voluntary on-campus intervention
programme for students in higher educational systems
in Tamil Nadu initiated and supported by the Tamil
Nadu State AIDS Control Society TANSACS) and is
implemented through multi-sectored collaboration
involving National Service Scheme (NSS) and Youth
Red Movement. India has large number of people
infected with HIV/AIDS. Young people mostly in
the age group of (15 to 24) are more vulnerable
to HIV Infection objectives of Red Ribbon Club
are The RRC can help meet the demand for the blood
by organizing blood donation camps linking all
the students with the Government Hospitals and
Regional Blood Transfusion centers in the district.
