Science club was started in 2009 to give opportunity to the students to
develop their aptitude for science, because science is the basic foundation
for engineering subjects.
Science club organizes events like science quiz, science related
skids, paper presentation and lectures by experts
on current and advanced topics on science.
Science club creates an enthusiasm among students and gives practice to
participate in the inter-collegiate science quiz contests, conferences and
various science related competitions in order to bring out their hidden
talents. |

| Quiz competition - Science Club |

The science club organized a science quiz competition to our college students on 17.09.11 in our college premises. The Chief Guest was Mr.P.Mani, Professor in Physics, Anna University of Technology,Tiruchirappalli.
The function started with prayer song. Prof.D.Kalyanaraman, HOD/Chemistry presided over the function. Prof.K.Karthikeyan, HOD/Physics gave the felicitation address. The chief guest conducted the science quiz competition. Prizes were distributed to the students who won the 1st , 2nd & 3rd, places by the chief guest.
Science club student president Mr.V.S.Vinod, welcomed the gathering. Compering was given by Ms.Gnanaramya,club member. First year student club coordinator Mr.N.Aniruddh gave the vote of thanks. The function ended with national anthem. The arrangements were made by science club coordinator,Prof. M.Anbazhagan Assistant Professor/Physics.

The Science Club Inaugural function was organized on 29.08.11 in our college premises. The Chief Guest was Dr.A.Krishnan, Professor of Physics, MAM College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli.
The function started with a prayer song. Dr.S.Palani, Prof & Dean, PG Studies, presided over the function. The Chief Guest delivered the inaugural address and gave a Lecture on the topic "Nano Material, Processing & Applications."
Science club student president Mr.V.S.Vinod, final year B.E (EEE) welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was given by the final year student coordinator, Ms.M.Arunthathi, B.E(CSE). The function came to a close with national anthem.

As a part of the Decennary year celebrations, Science Club organised an Inter Schools/Engineering Colleges Science Exhibition Competition on 12.11.2010. Schools and Engineering Colleges in Pudukkottai District participated. In the inter school competition, Boy`s Government Higher Secondary School,Keeranur won the first prize for the model Mobile Phone Sniffer. Second prize was won by Government Boy`s Higher Secondary School, Thirugokarnam and the third prize was won by Vairams Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pudukkottai. In the inter engineering college competition, Mother Terasa Engineering College, Illuppur won the first prize for the model Remote Sensing with Satellite Launching. Moogambigai College of Engineering, Kalamavur won both second and third prizes. Consolation prizes were given to all other participants.
